Begonia lanceolata is native to Brazil where it grows as an epiphyte on trees and rocks. It takes its name from its lance-shaped leaves. They are bright green with several white spots and slightly hairy with red border edging. Flower stalks, each bearing several white flowers, grow between the attractive leaves. Begonia lanceolata can be quite challenging to cultivate, but it is quite easy to meet its needs in a terrarium
