Alocasia calidora, also called giant elephant ear or Indian taro, is a very dramatic and beautiful 5-7 foot tall plant with a large corm that is grows from, producing a whorl of very large leaves. The leaf stalk is used as a vegetable in some areas in South East Asia and Japan.
This is an awesome starter plant, grown from seed collected in the French Quarter in August 2019.
Shade to full sun, 55 to 90+ degrees, allow to slightly dry between waterings.
Will send out best plant when we ship. All are about the same size.
